What People Are Saying About Us
The best house and family we ever met in USA (and we travel 2 month across the country). Good quite district with a lot of shops, malls, restaraunts. Nice house and our room (Los Angeles Hollywood style). Room is clean and cozy. Great family, who were very pleasant, friendly with us and were tolerant with our bad english. BTW Sue cook muffins every morning for breakfast. Amazing place, great people. Thanks so much.
My boyfriend, Brandon and I stayed for four days in the "Big Cozy Room with its Own Restroom". It's spacious, tastefully decorated, and the house had all the conveniences necessary for us to feel at home. The room included two memory foam mattresses, a flat screen tv, a rocking chair, and a substantially large walk in closet, a complimentary bottle of wine next to a jacuzzi-style bathtub. The house included a spacious family room, dining area, a fully stocked kitchen, and a grill.
We were fortunate to spend a lot of time with Ricky and his wife Amy as well as Sue and Jaime over our stay. Within just a few hours of our stay, we forgot that we were staying at a stranger's house. Ricky and Amy are wonderfully fun and easy to talk to. We bonded over scary movies and our favorite television shows.
We had a barbecue on a Saturday night with music, lots of beer, and the Mayweather/Guerrero fight on pay per view. It was not just a pleasant stay, it was truly an experience I will never ever forget. My only regret is that I didn't stay much much longer.
If you're looking for a homey and hospitable place located in the heart of LA, look no further. This place is a gem. Treasure your time there when you've got a chance.

Very nice and friendly host family, Sue, Jaime, and their son. They enjoy having conversations with people from all over the world so if you'd enjoy a good conversation (practicing your English, cultural exchange, etc.), this is a place to be! The room I stayed (Los Angeles Orange County Room) was smaller in size but the bed was comfortable and desk/chair was convenient to use. When my Wifi connection was not working on my laptop, they provided a cable for me so that I could have an access to internet. That was very nice of them. There is a lock in each room door which is good for privacy. No trouble finding a parking spot of the street. Overall I really enjoyed staying in their home!
I had an AWESOME stay! Jaime and Sue are really nice, thoughtful hosts. They were both really helpful with city advice (I'm new to the city) and nice to have conversations with. The cabin was really comfortable and cozy! I highly recommend a stay with them.
This is truly a cozy cabin in the suburbs. Sue and Jaime are great hosts. They can help you if you want assistance exploring or just let you do your thing if that is more your style. The weather was great, the bed was comfortable and the conversations were fun. This cabin is in the back yard and is completely fenced in so it is very private.
We stayed with Sue and Jaime for a few days on our visit to Los Angeles. We first read their positive reviews here and thought they were a bit overhyped, but no, they live up to their reputation. With years of experience and guests from over the world you could say that it would be strange if they were not this good at it. They are great hosts. They are friendly, nice and full advice, and the location of Pico Riviera is perfect if you are in LA for the first time and want to have an equal distance to all the sights and places while still be able to get a free overnight parking spot and some peace and quiet after the days adventures. If I ever go to LA again, I would stay here again.
My 2 children and I stayed in the cabin and totally loved it! It was perfect as they had a blast sleeping on the loft while I slept in the very cozy room. My son exclaimed the next morning how comfortable it was and wanted to stay longer. We had wonderful conversations with Sue, Jaime, and their son Justin- they are so open and warm. I highly recommend Sue and Jaime's place to anyone visiting Los Angeles!
